Newsroom Special - Dementia awareness (with Hindi translation)

    Newsroom Specials

    Friday, 26 October 2018 - 14 minutes

Dementia is a term that covers a wide range of symptoms that are associated with a decline in memory. It is a word that seems to be becoming an increasing part of life for many people, and it appears it's presence will only grow with an ageing population in the UK.

To tell us more about the issue, and the work being done to address it, we were joined by Dr Sarah Smith from the Centre for Dementia Studies at Leeds Beckett University. Alongside the doctor was Prof Geetha Upadhyaya, a visiting professor at the centre, who translated the discussion into Hindi.
