Busy schedules and regularly being away from home are contributing to the worrying near-quarter (23%) of male van drivers that admit they haven’t been to the doctors at all in the last year.

In a predominantly male industry, why is the stereotypical notion of men ignoring their health still so prevalent despite numerous attempts to rectify it?

Further, professional drivers surveyed by Mercedes Benz Vans overwhelmingly (95%) said there is a distinct lack of healthy eating options at service stations.

Ex-professional footballer, Alan Stubbs, who only found out about his testicular cancer following a routine drugs test, joined us in the studio to discuss his story. He was joined by Jonathan Prince MBE, Chairman of the Blue Ribbon Foundation, to tell us why the nation’s professional drivers need more support to eat healthier and visit their doctor more.
