World’s ‘largest brain tumour’ removed by Indian doctors

Doctors in India have removed what they believe to be the world’s “largest brain tumour”.

The tumour, which weighed 1.8kg (2.2lbs), was removed during a seven-hour surgery on a 31-year-old man in Mumbai.

The hospital said the man is recovering and is now “out of danger”.

Santlal Pal, a shopkeeper from the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, had been living with the tumour for three years.
