A woman was killed by a train whilst she was fleeing an attack from a monkey in India.
The 43-year-old, identified as Kamala Devi, was sitting on a bench at Hempur depot railway station in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar district when the animal jumped on her.
Police said she crossed railway lines in a panic and was hit by an oncoming train.
Last year, an 11-year-old girl died of injuries she sustained while trying to escape a monkey attack in Uttarakhand.
