A woman was killed when she was caught in crossfire during an exchange between security forces and militants in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
The 24-year-old woman, identified as Beauty Jan, was hit by a bullet during the incident in Bhatmaran village in south Kashmir.
Two militants, believed to be part of the Jaish-e-Mohammed group, were also killed.
Police say they started a search for a third militant they believe had escaped.
