Protesters broke into the Peshawar Electric Supply Company office in Pakistan, in protest against prolonged power outages in the city.
One protester claimed that the region requires a supply of 2100 megawatts but only 1300 megawatts is currently being provided to the province.
She vowed that the protestors would not leave until other issues, including overcharging and the repairing of obsolete transformers, were resolved.
PESCO claims that areas with outstanding dues will face increased power cuts.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif came to power in 2013 vowing to eradicate the outages but he now faces a tide of criticism.
Many are calling on him to be true to his word before the next general election in 2018.
