A court in India has handed the death penalty to two men for the rape of an 8-year-old girl.
The crime was committed in Mandsaur town of Madhya Pradesh state on 26 June. The girl went missing from school and was found the following day in a critical condition.
20-year-old Irfan and Asif, aged 24, were convicted following DNA tests.
It is the 12th instance the death penalty has been issued in the country for rape cases involving minors this year.
