Toxic and counterfeit alcohol has claimed the lives of at least 57 people in the Punjab area of Pakistan in the past two years.
It is reported that thousands of others are living with life-changing side effects such as failed kidneys and even blindness.
According to sources, 104 fake liquor factories are operating in Punjab with nine of them functioning in the provincial capital, Lahore.
Local reports claim some of the factories are being run by former police officials and that expired chemicals are being used in manufacturing counterfeit wine.
