A man has confessed to murdering 33 people in India’s Madhya Pradesh State.
Police arrested Aadesh Khambra, 48, two weeks ago in Bhopal – believing they had detained a tailor turned petty criminal.
However, Khambra has since confessed to having killed multiple truck drivers in order to make money. He also claims to have worked with inter-state gangs.
Khambra told police he would befriend drivers in roadside eateries and slip drugs into their food so they would fall asleep. He would kill them, steal their trucks and sell the goods.
Bhopal police have written to their counterparts in three other states to receive information on other murder cases involving truck drivers.
