The Indian Embassy in Tokyo has said that one more Indian crew member on Diamond Princess, the ship stranded off the coast Japan, has tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus.
Providing an update on the situation, the embassy released a statement confirming the person had been hospitalised for treatment.
The latest diagnosis comes after two other Indian crew members were diagnosed with coronavirus.
As of Friday, there were at least 218 people who had tested positive for coronavirus on Diamond Princess, including the three Indian crew members.
In a statement on the situation, the embassy said: "The Indian Embassy is in touch with all three whose conditions are stable and improving.
"No other Indian national on-board Diamond Princess cruise ship has developed any symptoms of infection."
