Teenager injured in Karachi knife attack

A teenage girl was injured in a knife attack in Karachi.

Local reports say the girl, aged around 15, was attacked whilst sitting behind her brother on a motorbike on Monday, 16 October.

The attacker is believed to have approached on another motorbike before speeding away.

There have been 13 knife attacks on women in the city over recent weeks with what is thought to be a scalpel-like object. Police claimed they arrested a main suspect on Sunday, a man identified as Waseem, before this most recent attack.

It is not yet clear what type of weapon was used on Monday night.
