A teenage girl was killed after a tanker crashed into a house in Pakistan.
At least eight other people were also injured when the water tanker collided with the building in Karachi’s Korangi area this morning, 21 November.
Local reports claim the girl, identified as Noreen, was killed as the residents of the property were sleeping before dawn.
Some reports say locals refused access to the site to rescue workers in an attempt to detain the driver of the vehicle until police arrived. It is believed the driver escaped from the scene and a search operation is underway.
Eyewitnesses believe the driver may have been intoxicated.
