The Sindh government has banned swimming at Karachi's beaches for six months.
The ban has come following continuous cases of drowning in the last few days.
On Tuesday, 23 May, at least six people drowned at different beaches in Karachi.
In one incident four school friends drowned whilst bathing off Sandspit beach and two others drowned off Sea View.
The number of bathers drowned in the last four days has amounted to 12.
The ban will stay in place unless otherwise stated.
