The mastermind behind the Sunjuwan terror attack in south Kashmir was killed in an exchange with the army.
Mufti Waqas is accredited with being behind the attack by the Jaish-e-Mohammad militant group on an army camp on 10 February, which left 10 people, including one civilian, dead.
Reports say Waqas was killed in an encounter in the Hatiwara area of Lethpora village in a military operation.
His death is being viewed by security forces as a major blow to the militant outfit.
