Students clashed with police at a protest over a fee-hike at Panjab University in Chandigarh.
Classes were boycotted by students yesterday, 11 April 2017, who then gathered together for a demonstration to oppose the University’s increasing fees.
Police attempted to disperse the crowd using water cannons and tear gas but the students fought back by pelting the officers with stones.
So far two students have been arrested following the unrest.
