Six killed in blast at India ammunition depot

At least six people have been killed and 18 others injured in an explosion at an ammunition depot in India.

The blast took place in the Wardha district of Maharashtra state at a depot used by the military.

It is understood an accident took place whilst carrying out the demolition of old explosives. It is the second major blast in the depot in the last two years. In May 2016, 13 people were killed in a major fire while disposing explosives.
