Six people have been arrested in connection with the gang rape and murder of a nine-year-old girl in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Officials said the girl's body was found on Sunday 2 September in a jungle in Baramulla district. She was tortured and her body was burnt with acid.
Authorities believe the girl's stepmother told her 14-year-old son and three others to rape the victim in her presence.
It is alleged the stepmother held a grudge against the girl over favouritism with her father.
The girl had been missing for 10 days before the body was found.
