Rex Tillerson arrived in Pakistan to deliver a tough message on terrorism.
The US Secretary of State touched down in Islamabad yesterday, 24 October, to meet with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and the heads of military and intelligence services.
Tillerson highlighted the importance of fighting extremists and driving them from hideouts on Pakistani territory and Abbasi stated that Pakistan is “committed in the war against terror.”
The American arrived in Pakistan after visits to Iraq and Afghanistan and is scheduled to move on to India, as part of a tour to deliver the White House’s strategy for the region.
