Murder investigation launched following death in Lahore hospital brawl

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in a large-scale fight in a Lahore hospital.

The brawl broke out on Monday night (26 March) at Lahore’s Service’s Hospital between hospital staff, security guards and a patient’s family.

Reports say the violence erupted after a female doctor allegedly slapped a patient in the maternity ward.

A man identified as Suneel, who was a member of the Motorway Police, is said to have been attending a patient when he was injured in the clash. He was treated at the same hospital but did not survive.
