A man has been arrested in New Delhi after he allegedly raped his four year old neighbour.
The four year old girl who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the local police that she was taken to a building under construction near her home. Following which police detained the neighbour for questioning.
Officials have stated the man is thought to have been in a drunken state, when took the girl to the abandoned plot. The girl managed to free herself and returned to her house where she narrated the incident to her parents, who informed the police.
The suspect, a local man who lives and works in the neighbourhood will remain custody while the investigation continues.
