A man has been arrested three months after a Class 12 student went missing in Chennai.
On Friday the schoolgirl and her kidnapper walked into a police station asking for protection as the couple feared being targeted by the girl’s family.
The 26-year-old was then arrested for kidnapping the minor and the girl was handed over to her parents.
Local police officers confirmed that the girl had eloped with her boyfriend on her own wishes.
