A man has died in Karachi after protests against the rape and murder of a child turned violent.
The girl, who had been missing for two days, was found dead in bushes in Manghopir on Monday night (16 April).
A medical examination confirmed she had been sexually assaulted and DNA samples were taken for evidence. An official said two arrests have been made in the case so far.
Relatives and neighbours took to the streets in protest in Orangi Town and are accused of pelting police officers with stones.
A man identified as Abdur Rehman was allegedly killed by police firing.
