Karachi heatwave claimed to have taken over 60 lives

    A heatwave in Karachi is claimed to have killed more than 60 people.

    Dunya News reports that of the 160 bodies brought to a city morgue on Monday 21 May, 64 were claimed to have died from heat stroke according to the families of the deceased.

    However, a local government health secretary has claimed no cases of heat stroke have been reported at the city’s hospitals.

    Temperatures are expected to continue to soar above 43C.
