A police station in India was stormed by protestors following the alleged molestation of a nine-year-old girl.
Four policemen were injured in the violence in Guntur town in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh.
Officers were pelted with stones and 22 vehicles were reported to have been set on fire.
The protesters, which include the alleged victim’s family, demanded the accused 20-year-old man be handed over to them.
An official said a case is under way and the situation is now “under control”.
