Gay Pride brings colour to Delhi streets

A gay pride parade brought colour to the streets of Delhi – the first march since India decriminalised homosexuality.

The Supreme Court ruling in September overturned a 2013 judgement that upheld a colonial-era law under which gay sex is categorised as an "unnatural offence".

On Monday 26 November people dressed in rainbow costumes, holding balloons, flags and placards, paraded on Tolstoy Marg.
