At least four police officers were killed during an attack in Quetta yesterday, 13 July.
It is believed one of the officers killed was a Superintendent of the Police.
The incident took place at Jail Road when unidentified suspects opened fire at security officers.
Local sources say a heavy contingent of police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the entire area. They immediately collected evidence and an investigation has been launched.
On Monday, 10 July, a district police officer and his security guard were killed and sixteen others injured in a bomb blast in Balochistan’s Chaman district.
It is believed a suicide bomber hit the police van and denotated an explosive.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
