The execution date of four infamous Delhi gang rapists may face yet another delay following a last-ditch curative plea from one of the convicts.
Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh Singh were sentenced to death in 2013 following the brutal gang-rape and murder of a woman in December 2012.
The execution of the four men was originally set to take place on January 22, however the date has since been pushed back twice, to February 1 and again to March 3.
Gupta remains the only convict among the group to not have exhausted all of his pleas and filed a curative plea on Friday in an attempt to have the death sentence revised to life imprisonment.
