Eight people were killed when a bus fell off a bridge in Uttar Pradesh yesterday, 14 June.
Sources say 30 others were injured when the bus fell into the Sai river from a bridge near Bargudar village on the Jaunpur-Allahabad highway.
The vehicle was on its way to Jaunpur when the driver lost control of the vehicle. It crashed through the bridge railing and into the river.
Police said that the bus was badly damaged and passengers were trapped inside. Police rescued the passengers and sent them to hospital.
Reports say some of the passengers are in a critical condition.
