The Lahore High Court has referred a petition to hang a man publicly to a division bench.
The request came from the father of Zainab Ansari, who was raped and murdered in January in Kasur at the age of 7.
Imran Ali was convicted under the Anti-Terrorism Act and handed four death sentences following a four-day trial.
Zainab’s father argues that section 22 of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 empowers the government to hang a convict publicly.
