Couple from UK murder adopted boy murdered for insurance company

A boy died has at a Rajkot hospital after he was attacked with a knife by 2 unidentified men in the Keshod city of Gujarat. A couple from London have been arrested in connection with the murder.

53 year old Arti Loknath and her 28 year old husband Kanwaljitsinh Raijada, currently living in London had adopted the 13 year old victim in 2015. the couple allegedly orchestrated the murder to inherit the proceeds of an insurance policy to the approximate value of 1.20 crore which they had taken as cover for the boy's life. the couple's role was revealed after police arrested a male accomplice in connection with the murder.

Gopal died at a Rajkot hospital on Monday, days after he was attacked with a knife by the two suspects on the 8th February.
