Chennai water crisis: Tamil Nadu to request Kerala to supply

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has written to neighbouring Kerala’s government to accept an offer 2 million litres of water in a bid to tide over a water shortage crisis.

The Minister’s response came after the Kerala Chief Minister’s Office posted a statement on Facebook stating that Tamil Nadu had declined its help to supply water (on a one-time basis).

The city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India’s sixth largest city, is facing a crisis after its four main water reservoirs ran completely dry.
