Border Security Force soldier in India dismissed from service after viral video

A Border Security Force soldier in India has been dismissed from service following a video he uploaded online going viral.

Tej Yadav took to social media complaining about the poor quality of food served in his regiment. An internal inquiry held yesterday, 19 April, found the soldier guilty of making false accusations against his superiors.

On 9 January, Yadav posted two videos on Facebook alleging that the jawans posted in Kashmir were being served substandard food. He also alleged that superior officers were taking food, meant for the jawans, for their own consumption. His videos drew sharp reactions from the opposition parties and the public alike.
