At least 27 people were injured in clashes between police and protesters in Bangladesh.
Around 70 vehicles were vandalised and set on fire in Dhaka as activists from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party took to the streets yesterday afternoon, 5 December.
Local media reports claim police intercepted a procession as they attempted to make their way towards the Bakshi Bazar area of the city, after the party Chairperson Khaleda Zia came out of court, issuing her self-defence statement in connection with corruption cases.
Three police officers were injured in the incident and up to 25 protesters were arrested for interrogation.
