14-year-old gangraped twice in one day in India

A teenage girl was allegedly gangraped twice during the same day in India.

Reports say a complaint was lodged with authorities after the 14-year-old left her home in Chhindwara of Madhya Pradesh state on 6 July and did not return.

She was found wandering the streets in a disoriented state two days later. She informed police that she was taken to an address and sexually assaulted, then raped again when she was set free and attempting to walk home.

Five men have been arrested in the case and enquiries are continuing.
