Local Police have confirmed reports of a speeding passenger bus colliding with a parked long trailer.
The incident occurred on a motorway near the Khanewal District in the Punjab province of Pakistan, where heavy fog had limited visibility.
11 people were killed and with countless others wounded.
A local motorway police official, Talat Mahmood, said: “Thick fog in busy parts of the country in recent weeks, has contributed to several fatal accidents. Unfortunately, deadly road accidents are common as motorists often disregard traffic laws.”
