Bradford South police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault that has left a 23-year old man with serious injuries.

Officers received a call at 01:44hrs Tuesday morning from the ambulance service reporting a man had been assaulted on Lower Rushton Road, Bradford.

Officers attended and a 23-year-old man was found with head injuries.
He was taken to BRI for treatment, but later transferred to LGI where his current condition is described as serious.

Scenes of crime officers are currently carrying out forensic enquiries at the scene and detectives are carrying out enquiries to establish what happened.
