Two Cannabis Factories Closed Down In Bradford

Police in Bradford have closed down two more Cannabis farms. Both were discovered last night (3rd May) - one after the fire brigade were called to reports of a house fire and the other when a member of the public stopped Officers and told them of his suspicions.

The first was found at Greenholme Court in Holmewood at 8.15pm after Firefighters found the suspected drugs after putting out a fire at the address. The Cannabis plants were found in an upstairs room along with drugs paraphernalia. A 35 year old woman was later arrested trying to get into the address which had been boarded up.

The second was found at Heaton Road in Manningham at 11.30pm after a member of the public approached Officers and told them he could smell Cannabis and saw four men running off with bags of Cannabis. Officers attended the address and found a Cannabis farm. They arrested two men on suspicion of the cultivation of Cannabis.

There are several tell tale signs that a property may be being used as a Cannabis farm:

·        unusual activity of people coming and going delivering fertiliser and equipment

·        the lights will be left on continually and curtains drawn

·        a strong, pungent smell coming from the property

·        if you are the Landlord of the property, beware of a tenant who always pays cash and won't let you have access to your property.
