The company which owns an Indian and Arabian restaurant in Bradford city centre will have to pay nearly £10,000 after being convicted of dumping waste on the streets.
Insha Ltd was fined £7,500 with £2,325 costs and told to pay £15 victim surcharge by Bradford magistrates on Monday, 26 April after being convicted in absence of 11 breaches of Environmental Protection Laws.
The court was shown photographs of bags of rubbish from the Centenary Square restaurant dumped high in overflowing skips and on the floor at the rear of the premises.
The court was told that the restaurant had ignored numerous warnings and statutory notices to rectify the situation.
Following the hearing, Bradford Council Environmental Health Officer David Small said: "The restaurant does not have a current trade waste contract and the situation is still on-going."
