JCB Used In Attempted Cash Machine Robbery

Police in Bradford are appealing for witnesses to an attempted commercial burglary in Wyke. It happened Wednesday morning (14th April) at around 3.29am at the Co-op on Griffe Road. The suspects used a white transit van and a JCB in an attempt to pull a cash machine from the wall. They made off empty handed in the van leaving the JCB behind after their failed attempt.

It's believed the van and the JCB were seen travelling from the Oakenshaw direction at 3.20am.

Detective Inspector Steve Snow of Bradford South CID said: "The actions of these suspects caused extensive damage to the premises and would have made a significant amount of noise. I would particularly appeal to anyone living nearby who heard noise in the early hours of this morning and may have looked out of their window and seen them to contact us."

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact DI Steve Snow at Bradford South CID on 0845 60 60 606 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
