Lifetime Achievement Award For Restaurant Group Boss
 

 

Mohammed Aslam MBE Managing Director and Executive Chef of the Aagrah Group of Restaurants was honoured with a Life Time Achievement Award at the ABDN (Leeds based business organisation) 12th Annual Business Dinner held at Saviles Hall, Royal Armouries, Leeds. The award is in recognition of his services to the hospitality industry and the Community and recognises more than 30 years of dedicated service.
 
Aagrah Restaurant Group was set up more than three decades ago by Aslam’s older brother Mohammed Sabir MBE. The group has 12 restaurants across Yorkshire,  it is the UK’s largest chain of Kashmiri restaurants, the group also have a £4 million purpose built 450 seat conference and banqueting centre, The Midpoint Suite, on the border of Leeds and Bradford which opened in April last year. Highly popular it is now a premiere venue of choice for many for business and social events.
 
Upon accepting the prestigious ABDN award from Lord Lieutenant DR Ingrid Roscoe and addressing an 800 strong business audience Aslam lightheartedly said ‘does this award mean I have to retire’ and further expressing ‘I’m delighted to receive this honour for the whole of the Aagrah Team I am truly grateful for their on going support and above all our loyal customers without whom we wouldn’t be where we are today’
 
Aslam was also honoured this year with an MBE in the Queens New years Honours list.
