News:
Sunrise Radio (Yorkshire)'s news team works hard to bring you the very latest in International, National and Local news. On the hour every hour between 0700 and 2300 hours every single day IRN will in just three minutes circumnavigate the globe for the key stories hitting the headlines. Between 0700 and 1800 hours every week-day Sunrise Radio (Yorkshire)'s local reporters complement the IRN bulletin with a five minute bulletin dedicated to local stories from our region and featuring stories from the South Asian Sub-Continent. So we can truly say "give us eight minutes and we'll give you the world!"
Sunday to Friday on the hour every hour between 1900 and 2300 hours IRN news bulletins are partnered with a five minute news bulletin broadcast in Hindustani affording those who are not comfortable with English as their first language an opportunity to catch up on all the stories hitting the headlines that day.
News-In-Focus: Every week-day at 1700 hours this round-up of the day's news, weather forecast, financial news and interviews with key spokespeople is essential listening for folk in West Yorkshire who are passionate about what's happening in their community.
At Sunrise Radio (Yorkshire) we recognise that for whatever reason it is sometimes difficult be it for financial, temporal or cultural reasons to access information, support and advice and for that reason we broadcast a number of 15-minute programmes during the week after the 1900 hours news bulletin featuring experts, voluntary groups and charities with the aim of providing responsible, reliable and relevant facts and views. Monday the theme is Sports, Wednesday alternates between Education and Business, Thursday is our Community Day and on Friday we either focus on Health or Legal issues.
